Use/Good point
This is a device measuring electrostatic charge quantity to occur by the friction, applying to the antistatic working clothing. It consists of a faraday cage (two stainless steel cylinders), a voltmeter and a condenser.
Put the destaticizing specimen on the plate with friction cloth setting, rub the specimen surface five times with friction stick wrapped by similar friction cloth, and then drop it in faraday cage. Read the voltage (V) on voltmeter charged by condenser, and calculate the electrostatic charge quantity σ (C/m2) per unit area by the following formula.
Q=CV/A
C: electrostatic charge quantity of condenser (F) = 0.1×10-6(F)
V: voltage read by voltmeter (V)
A: specimen friction area (m2) = 0.25×0.25(m2)
