This is a device measuring electrostatic charge quantity to occur by the friction of antistatic woven and knitted fabrics, applying to the performance evaluation for working clothing of anti-electrostatic made of conductivity fiber. It consists of square type faraday cage, condenser, voltmeter, volt/current generator and air type destaticizer, friction work table. A friction stick and insulation stick, platform and plate are attached as specimen friction tools.
Put the destaticizing specimen on the plate with friction cloth setting, rub the specimen surface five times with friction stick wrapped by similar friction cloth, and then drop it in faraday cage. Read the voltage (V) on voltmeter charged by condenser, and calculate the electrostatic charge quantity σ (C/m2) per unit area by the following formula.
Q=CV/A
C: electrostatic charge quantity of condenser (F) = 0.1×10-6(F)
A: specimen friction area (m2) = 0.25×0.25(m2)
